to Pingoo World, PingOO Linux Distribution Official Site.
The PingOO distribution was initially created within the framework
of Linux
Edu, a project dedicated to connection of schools
in France - Haute-Savoie area.
Taking into account the developments and tests carried out since
its creation (July 1997), PingOO now applies to local
communities, public organizations, schools, SME's., etc).
PingOO is developed under a free software philosophy and all
developments carried out by CRI are under General
Public Licence.
Since its birth, PingOO is based on a Debian distribution.
PingOO V2 is founded on the most stable version of Debian GNU/Linux :
